The State Minerals Management Plan provides guidelines whereby proposals for mineral surveys, exploration, leasing and extraction, whether initiated by the agencies or by outside companies or individuals, could be reviewed and acted upon in accordance with the objectives of the land-controlling agency and in the best interest of the Commonwealth. The State Subaqueous Minerals Management Plan supplements the existing State Minerals Management Plan. This plan was developed as guidelines for mining, leasing, and extraction activities on State-owned submerged lands. |
