We need to acknowledge that the world is changing, the community is growing more and more diverse every year. And with this diversity comes an opportunity to learn and grow the sense of community within our respective villages. Understanding the things that made our experiences different or who we are is valuable to our educators. It will provide them insight on how to navigate what is perceived by many as a divisive topic. Telling the truth cannot be seen as divisive by a country that considers itself the best in the world. Acknowledging our true history empowers us to improve the areas we still fall short in. If we are being honest, we need to keep training that can help us connect and help our diverse community community thrive.
