I have concerns that disallowing concurrent services for individuals enrolled in CPST will decrease flexibility and choice for individuals accessing services. I've provided mental health skill building and case management services for the past 18 years and have worked with individuals who have engaged in skill building, clubhouse, ACT, and IOP in various combinations. Each of these services provide benefits that may not necessarily overlap. For example, eliminating access to clubhouse services decreases opportunities for socialization for individuals receiving services. Eliminating individuals' ability to combine services, along with the venues in which those services are provided, to best meet their specific needs is not person centered and, I fear, could potentially decrease positive outcomes.
