TDT functioned amazingly before the MCO's and the children and schools were safer and healthier as a result. To make TDT sustainable to be provided, 3 units need to be approved a day and the regs need to make it easier to bill 3 units a day. This is the only way to sustain the program and it is so important for our schools and children. Scrap this horrible new proposal and fund the services we already have. Kids who meet the criteria for SED are many times dealing with high stress in multiple areas of life and often needs support for long periods of time. I know from a financial point, DMAS doesn't like this reality, but for some kids their providers are the most positive and supportive person in their lives.
