BUT please include the librarians.  The head librarian at Harmony Middle School told my child that she liked to give students books that she "knew the parents might not approve of" but that she felt they should read.  And so, she gave my daughter a book about a boy who commits suicide because a girl refused to date him.  The girl who refused was kidnapped and buried alive by the boys brother and abused.  My daughter didn't want to tell me the rest of the story because it got much worse.  Lovely, lovely...she was going through a tough time - we had just moved and she hadn't made any friends yet.  Unbelievable what 'adults' in charge try and manage to get away with.
