I disagree with this proposal about sensoring controversial or sensitive material because I believe that is not necessary to hide the truth from the students and it is a good learning experience. Being able to opt out of learning certain material only hinders learning it until later therefore is pointless. Parents should already know and be aware that their students are learning these things. If they want to know they can inquire about it instead of interefering with the teachers' job of teaching. As parents, they need to realize that their children need to be exposed to real life and if not now then later.
