Acceptance In A Way Rejection In Way

In a way I agree that parents an/or students should have the right to choose what to learn and not learn.

As this ammendment stands it affects students off all ages. With this being stated I think it should be applied differently to diffrent age ranges. I belive if you are in sixth grade or below the parents of the students should have the right to view the selected curriculum and decide if they feel their children need to learn that selected material. With that I am not saying the parents can say that their child does not need to learn lessons such as math. I am stating that they can opt out of class lessons such as the theory of evolution because some religions do not believe in that topic. I feel like once you are above sixth grade and you are in seventh grade you as the child know what you want to learn. For seventh grade and up you should be able to decide the material you would like to study. For example I think if you are in the eleventh grade you do not need to have your parents approval to read a book that has vulgar language. If you as a student wish to not read the book you should talk to the teacher and work out a solution.

I agree in a way that the stated ammendment should be enforced, but before it is it should be revised to fit all age ranges.
