Teachers are good people who want to give students a quality education.  We do not wish to offend, upset, or discuss topics parents are not comfortable with.  But at what point are we given the respect to make the decisions and do the job we were hired to do.  I assure you, most students will encounter more "sensitive" topics in the hallways and they will not have the benefit of an adult to guide their discussions.
