I support the Board of Education's amendment to the regulation. Advance parental notification is needed in order for concerned parents to decide whether or not to opt out their own children. I don't see that the regulation would affect families of children who trust the government to decide in loco parentis what is appropriate. Sounds like a commonsense way to enable all parents to be appropriately involved in their children's education.
