I am in favor of the amendment. Prior notice given to parents about sensitive content as well as opt-out policies are common sense measures and are in no way censorship as critics are crying. The fact that excerpts from two books by Toni Morrison on the approved reading list could not penetrate the Virginia Board of Education firewall in initial email communications due to explicit content speaks for itself.
