Family caregivers across Virginia play a critical role in maintaining the health, safety, and independence of waiver members. As DMAS reviews proposed revisions, please ensure that policy changes do not inadvertently reduce service hours, restrict respite access, or add unnecessary administrative steps for Consumer-Directed attendants and Service Facilitators.

Clear, uniform guidance on live-in status, overtime eligibility, and documentation is essential for both families and agencies.
Additionally, regional rate differences—particularly in Northern Virginia—should remain sufficient to support fair wages and prevent caregiver turnover.

Maintaining transparency and practical expectations will help preserve the quality and continuity of care that the CCC+ program was designed to provide.
